Key Responsibilities
Serve as the Group Head of Compliance, managing a team of Compliance Officers across different regional entities and group-level compliance operations to ensure that M-DAQ & its group of companies meet their regulatory and financial services licence obligations.
Act as the Compliance Officer for M-DAQ Payment Solutions, a Major Payments Institution Licensed entity, regulated by MAS
Design and implement policies, procedures, systems, governance and internal controls to ensure licensing commitments and regulatory conditions are met and followed.
Oversee M-DAQ’s efforts to combat financial economic crime, including anti-money laundering (AML), combating the financing of terrorism (CFT), sanctions and anti-bribery & corruption (ABC).
Serve as the primary point of contact for all regulatory compliance matters
Collaborate with the Onboarding Function to ensure robust implementation of customer due diligence (CDD)/know your customer (KYC) programme in compliance with the Group AML and CFT requirements.
Continually develop, maintain and provide internal advice on M-DAQ’s compliance policies, handbooks and manuals.
Develop and implement an enterprise-wide risk assessment framework to assess our inherent risks and control measures in collaboration with other risk functions.
Identify, monitor, and mitigate operational risks by ensuring effective internal controls, business continuity planning, and incident management processes are in place.
Support internal and external audits from our regulators, liquidity providers, audit partners and banking partners
Support corporate governance matters
Job Requirements
Tertiary educational qualification, professional certification, years of relevant compliance experience in MAS-regulated Major Payments Institution or Bank.
Deep knowledge of and familiarity with Payment Services Act
Experience in driving transformation of compliance programmes, policies and procedures
Strong ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders to manage compliance risk in a practical, solutions-oriented manner, balancing control requirements with business needs.
Proficiency with compliance management, name-screening and transaction monitoring software
Proficiency in written and spoken English, familiarity with business, legal, policy, and financial documentation
Driven personality to work in a fast-paced environment
Collaborative and personable team player who enjoys interacting with different business units.
