About the Role
We're looking for a Associate/Senior Associate, Partnerships to support our regional business development efforts across Southeast Asia and beyond. You'll work closely with senior partnerships leads to identify, onboard, and manage relationships with banking partners, payment providers, and strategic vendors that power M-DAQ's cross-border payments infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Support partner identification, outreach, and relationship management across banking, payments, and fintech ecosystems
Assist in preparing partnership proposals, commercial term sheets, and pitch materials
Coordinate onboarding workflows with internal Legal, Compliance, and Product teams to bring new partners live
Track and maintain partner documentation, contracts, and correspondence
Conduct market and competitor research to identify new partnership opportunities across target jurisdictions (SG, HK, MY, TH, PH, and beyond)
Prepare internal briefing notes and status updates for leadership
Support regulatory and compliance documentation tied to partner onboarding where needed
Attend partner meetings and calls, taking ownership of follow-ups and action items
Requirements
1–2 years of experience in business development, partnerships, account management, or a related client-facing/commercial role (fintech, payments, or financial services experience a strong plus)
Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable drafting professional correspondence and internal materials
Detail-oriented with solid organizational and project coordination skills
Ability to work cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Ops, and Product teams
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and managing multiple workstreams at once
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
Fluency in English required; Mandarin or another regional language a plus for cross-border coverage
Good to Have
Exposure to payments, FX, or cross-border settlement products
Familiarity with regulatory/compliance documentation processes
Prior experience working in a fast-paced, multi-jurisdictional environment
