About The Role
The Account Associate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of accounting records, full sets of accounts, closing of month-end accounts, processing month-end journals and day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform financial accounting duties including preparation of general ledger journals and month-end schedules
Prepare monthly financial reports which comply with IFRS, tax and other regulatory requirements
Process payments to vendors and reimbursements to employees
Prepare invoices and follow up with customers on payments
Perform trade/bank and revenue reconciliation and manage reconciling items
Prepare GST returns and reconciliation
Assist in statutory audits, tax compliance and other regulatory matters
Assist in improvement of finance processes and controls and solve accounting issues from time to time
Assist with other ad hoc projects and duties as assigned
Desired Skill Set and Attributes
Degree in Finance or Accounting, minimum 1-3 years of experience in auditing or accounting position, preferably Big 4 firm and a CA/CPA
Proficient in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint and hands-on experience in accounting software
Professional written and verbal communication in English and Mandarin
Strong attention to details, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Proactive with strong sense of responsibility and urgency
Good and effective interpersonal skills
